Berlin Artspark and the Civic Image by Mina Gospavic.
The civic architecture of Berlin Artspark is generated by a series of contemporary urban experiences. Visual observations of transformative site, recorded photographically over a period of time, are translated into the Artspark’s programme, spaces and built forms. The aim of the Berlin Artspark Quadriptych is to explore this encounter between urban experience and a new civic architecture within its narratives.
This approach is divided in two parts; in the relief drawing series and the image projection series of Quadriptych : Berlin Artspark. Using collage the former outlines the hybrid influences of the ‘civic image’ in the intricate forms, sections and perspectives of the Artspark. With the introduction of film projection, the latter series embodies the intended psychological encounter between the individual and the architecture of the designed narrative.
